It was sooo close. Sorry Cassie. I will make your quilt Medallion style.
Are you ready for the next step, the next vote, the next choice? About half of you are not quilters so some of the choices will be made without knowing the outcome of that choice. It could get interesting. I'm counting on it. :)

| #1 Sashing & cornerstones |
To sash or not to sash? For those of you that are not quilters yet. Sashing is the strip between the blocks in some quilts. This sashing gives you a frame around all your block and separates them from each other. With sashing comes cornerstones. These are the intersection on the road around your block. (Yes I think of the world as a great big quilt. grin). Cornerstones are a design element that looks great in your quilt but more importantly makes construction of your quilt much easier. No cornerstones = crooked roads.
So # 1 Sashing and Cornerstones

| #2 A Secondary Design |
How about a Secondary Design. This is when you choose two block patterns that work with each other to create a totally new design in your quilt. Alone the two designs have their own look but together a Secondary design is born. Sometimes I spend too much time just mixing and matching block looking for the perfect secondary design.
And # 2 Secondary Design

Today was Mystery Club day. Two of the girls choose #1 and two choose #2. i'm sure it will be close again.
ReplyDeleteI found out today that some of you have not been able to comment here. You need to sign in with one of the comment as options. I have a google account so that is the one I signed in with. I hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteHello, I'm new to your 'Two Cents Quilt' but I love the idea so much!
ReplyDeleteI vote for number 1 - with sashing and cornerstones.
Best wishes, Laura
I also vote for #1, with sashing and cornerstones. I think quilts get a little busy, without the sashing.
